Day Care from Little Friends
We have five rooms dedicated to day care with two rooms specifically allocated to babies. Our staff ratios are 1:3 for the younger rooms and 1:4 for the Senior Toddlers.
Building a bond with your child
Children are assigned a member of staff, also known as a key worker, who will develop and build a bond with your child. They will keep an extra special eye on your child, and record how they get on during the day, from snack and sleep time to nappy changing and play time. Your key worker will help to ensure your child is settled and happy and they will share information with you, about your child's achievements.
Learning through play
Although our children are young, we still learn through play. We provide a range of activities that encourage interaction and participation and covers the 6 key areas of learning. As well as offering a baby led routine for the younger ones, we gently introduce structure to the room. Staff are friendly and always on hand to answer any questions.
Meal time is learning time
We enjoy a morning snack at 9.30am, lunch at 11.30am and an afternoon snack at 3pm.
Children will be given an opportunity to explore and discover new foods and tastes, including different fruit and vegetables and textures; we will support children through weaning.
